THE BUTTERFLY WING THEORY Advise for anyone doing or receiving a psychic reading. So the theory runs, a butterfly flaps its wings in China, and its minute effects are felt around the world. Spiritually every thought, every action that we take, makes a difference for good or ill. It is said that a thought becomes an act, becomes a habit, becomes a way of life, and what a medium, astrologer, palmist or any reader or psychic for that matter, does not say, is often more important than what they do say, discretion confidentiality and diplomacy must play a major part. Be mindful of the responsibilities that anyone giving a reading, particularly to a client or querent, who may be ill or vulnerable, have, because it is colossal. The European Human Rights act instructs us that all psychic readers have what is known in law as a "duty of care". So if you pay for a service and feel you did not get adequate respect or value for your money, you are entitled to a refund, as the law says anything paid for, "must be of merchantable quality". Always ask for your reader’s name, as many fakes, quacks and duff mediums hide behind pseudonyms. Several cases soon coming to law in the British courts gives a sobering thought of just how many people are taken advantage of, people phoning to speak to "angel cloud chakra bunny" did nor realise that a whole team of people were taking it in turns to give "psychic" answers. Confidentiality must be as real as that of doctor or priest, for surely you are a bit of both. The Hebrew Scriptures give us the tale of "The horseshoe nail " For the want of a nail the shoe was lost, For the want of a shoe, the horse was lost For the want of a horse, the rider was lost, For the want of the rider, the battle was lost. For the want of the battle the war was lost All for the want of a horseshoe nail. Like the butterfly’s wing, the smallest nail, or thought will eventually have immense repercussions. If you think on the analogy of throwing a stone into a pool of water, the circles will go out with ever decreasing energy, gradually disappearing somewhere into the universe. If we had the necessary sensitive instrumentation, we could measure these circles on the other side of the world. Our thoughts, spoken and unspoken words are like these circles. Jesus said; "He who has thought about committing a sin, has on some level committed the act already". When giving a reading, reach your thought up to the highest planes of spirit, always ask internally for guidance. Remember the butterfly’s wing and watch the inspiration to your thoughts, for your responsibility to your client should be your first priority. Afterward a reading or healing (and a good reading is always a healing), I will leave a little time for a questions and answers, this allows for any misunderstandings, or further details to be given. At times we meet people we "jell " with instantly; at other times we just do not "connect" when meeting new people, and with reading it is so important to engage at a deep level so you can give your best. A compulsory code of ethics in law is long overdue, for practitioners, readers, mediums and fortune tellers, who are now pushing the way forward, and are an important part of the alternative medicine and counselling agenda.
