What is a Fractal Image?
Very simply put, it's an image created by a certain mathematical (fractal) formula.
Not being a mathematical wizz myself, I cannot really tell you more than just the following, a guy named Benoit Mandelbrot came up with the "chaos" theory, as well as a mathematical formula. It very simply states that there is no chaos, that there is a pattern in everything (even the leaves on a tree), and that if you know the initial values you can predict the pattern.
